Me: Okay see what I'm trying to say is that you have to approach Eleven not as just the stand-alone but as the Doctors as a whole, if you watch the Classic Who you understand better -- he's like Three in his hands-on approach to things, he's like Seven in his destructive, self-centeredness, and he's also like Four in how deep down he knows things he does aren't right, and my problem with Ten was he wasn't ever really dark, and he made goofy speeches that weren't convincing, as opposed to Eleven, I mean in The Pandorica Opens on Stonehenge --

And that moment, in Victory of the Daleks, where Eleven shouts: ‘You are my enemy, and I am yours!’ — GAH. I don’t even know how to begin talking about his delivery of the latter part, ‘I am yours’. And how, at the end, he thinks that the raw pain of loss is what will save Bracewell, because it is so much of what drives him to keep on keeping on.

I was reading this really good article about Chris Eccleston’s performance as Nine:
